He is an MBA from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He was the
Regional Head- Microfinance Division, for North Region before he moved to Utkarsh.
In ICICI Bank, he handled various responsibilities in Microfinance Division, both in
Product & Relationship Management function . His key responsibilities in Product role
were- Product development (which included end to end process from conceptualization
to launch to scaling up of product) custodian of micro finance policy and operating
guidelines. As a Regional Head for microfinance business in Northern Region, he was
responsible for growth in business, profitability, stressed assets management and client
monitoring. Before ICICI Bank, he worked with Friends of Women's World Banking
(India) (FWWB), Ahmedabad . His key responsibilities in FWWB were monitoring and
providing Technical Assistance to nearly 35 Micro Finance Institutions in Tamil Nadu,
Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, W. Bengal and Orissa. Prior to his MBA from IRMA, he had a
stint with Times of India for 2.5 years.
Trilok Nath Shukla :
(Chief Operating Officer)
He is the Chief Operating Officer of The Company and heads Operations. He is an MA in Sociology from Purvanchal University, UP and holds Advance Diploma in Rural Technology Development and Management from IERT Allahabad. He joined Cashpor in September 1997 and as his last assignment, he was General Manager there and was part of head office operation team. He has attended several training programs in and outside India, including visit to Grameen Bank, Bangladesh, Boulder Program held in Italy and IIM Ahemedabad.
Sulabh Jain :
(VP - Credit Plus)
He is an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of International Business. He has over 12 years of experience in Agri- Business & Micro Finance. His last assignment in ICICI Bank, before joining Utkarsh was as Relationship Manager for Micro Finance business of Eastern Uttar Pradesh & Bihar. Prior to micro finance, he handled small and medium enterprises, involved in agri-business to extend working capital finance and commodity based finance by assessing their credit worthiness on various financial and non financial parameters. Prior to ICICI Bank, he worked with Jain Agro Products- Ghaziabad and looked after formulation & standardization of protocols of new products to be introduced as well as looking at the production activity that included quality assurance, procurement of raw material and managing production team . He has also worked as an entrepreneur and was involved in cultivation and marketing of Cut Flowers, Exotic Vegetables and Mushrooms.
Rahul Dey :
(Head - Micro Enterprise Loan & Information Technology)
He has over 9 years on experience in Banking and Microfinance. Prior to joining Utkarsh, he was with Ujjivan Financial Services Pvt Ltd as Regional Business Manager, responsible for their Individual lending business in East. Apart from this, he has worked in various capacities with organizations like, Ballarpur Industries Ltd, ICICI Bank Ltd, Spandana Spoorthy Financial Ltd and Anjali Microfinance Pvt Ltd. In ICICI Bank, as Regional Manager – West Bengal and North East, he was responsible for the Bank’s MFI business in the region for more than 3 years. He holds Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
Vivek Kashyap :
(VP - Operations (MH & MP))
He is an MBA from Institute of Rural Management, Anand. He has over 7 years of experience in Microfinance, Housing Micro finance, sales and marketing. Prior to Joining Utkarsh, he was with Swarna Pragati Housing Microfinance Private Limited as Assistant Vice President, responsible for Maharashtra state Credit and Operations related activities. Apart from this, he has also worked in various capacities with SKS Microfinance and had started SKS operations in Vidharbha Region of Maharashtra. He has also headed the process training department at SKS for a brief period of time. His last assignment at SKS was as Zonal Manager, responsible for Maharashtra and Gujarat state. He has also worked with TATA Motors and FINO Ltd. At TATA Motors, he was responsible for sales and marketing in Rural Part of Western UP and Uttarakhand.
Pankaj Kumar Singh :
(VP - Operations (NCR & UK))
He is an MBA from Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). He has more than 8 years of exposure across Microfinance, Relationship Management, Corporate Banking, Business Development & Direct Sales. Prior to joining Utkarsh, he was Area Head - TASC (Direct Sales) at HDFC Bank Ltd.
Prior to that, as Relationship Manager in Microfinance Division at HDFC Bank, he was responsible for pre-sanction credit appraisal, post disbursement monitoring & compliance and handling relationship of North and East based MFI for Bank. He was also responsible for sales & business development, key account management, new account acquisition, people management and building healthy professional relationship with clients.
Ashwani Kumar :
(Head - Internal Audit and Compliance)
He is a Rural Finance & Development Management professional with over 8 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Utkarsh, he served NABARD Financial Services Ltd. (NABFINS is predominantly engaged in SHG and SLI Finance in southern India) as AGM for over 2 years. At NABFINS he was Functional Responsibility Head - Finance and had also overseen Administration, HR, Training and Business Expansion concurrently for brief periods. Prior to NABFINS, he was with Canara Bank as Manager for over 5 years and 8 months at its Priority Credit Wing, Head Office, Bangalore. At Canara Bank, he was in-charge of the 'Agri-Business Marketing Unit, Agricultural Consultancy Services', coordinating for the quality growth of Agri portfolio through Agri Cells and Branches pan India and was also actively involved in setting up of the Financial Inclusion Wing. He also undertook several sessions on PSL, Agri-business and NPA Management, internally at STCs of Canara Bank and externally at CAB, RBI (Pune), NIBM (Pune), Canara Bank RRBs and several Colleges / University Departments at Bangalore. He has publications in CAB-RBI's annual book and 'Farm Digest', a private circulation of Canara Bank. He started his career as a Research Associate at Locus Research and Consultants Pvt. Ltd, Delhi and undertook several projects over a period of more than a year, including one Impact Assessment Study Project of Ministry of Rural Development, GoI.
He is a Rural Management Graduate from IRMA, CFA from ICFAI (India). He is also a CAIIB, and has several Diplomas and Certifications from IIBF. He has UGC Net certification in Management and is a lifetime member of CFA Council (CCFA, India) and IIBF (India).
Shyam Sunder Rai :
(Head - Accounts)
He is an Chartered Accountant by profession with over 10 years of experience in Accounts, Taxation & Audit in large and medium sized finance industries. He served in Cashpor Micro Credit for over a year as Head of Accounts.
Sanjay Singh :
He has more than 8 years experience in micro finance operations. He was Assistant
General Manager in Cashpor Micro Credit, Varanasi before he moved to Utkarsh. He has
exposure in almost all the districts in Eastern UP. His last assignment in Cashpor was as
the District Head of Mirzapur and handled the largest district for Cashpor in terms of
portfolio. He has attended several training programs in and outside India, including visit
to Grameen Bank, Bangladesh.
Abhishek Verma :

He is an IT professional and was the Head of IT in Sonata Finance Pvt. Ltd, and has
more than 5 years experience in microfinance sector. He was associated with Sonata
since its inception.
Indra Deo Pandey :

He is a law graduate & an MBA. He has more than 10 years experience in law, finance & secretarial matters.
Ashish Singh :
(AVP - Credit & Client Interaction)
He has more than 9 years of Experience in Banking and Education Sectors with exposure of Retail Branch Banking and Risk Management Departments. His Last Assignment before joining Utkarsh was with ICICI Bank as a Regional Risk Manager. He has deep knowledge of control functions in the Banking Environment and was responsible for the Internal as well as Regulatory Compliances of 25 branches of ICICI Bank Ltd in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. He has also worked with The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) as a Project Manager for their Business School Project(ICFAI National College) in NCR and Varanasi. He Holds a Post Graduate Degree in English Literature from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth.
